The American Society for Engineering Management presents our next webinar...

Engineers Communicating with Non-Technical Audiences

Thursday, 21 October 2021

12 - 1 pm ET

Picture an engineer who is speaking with managers, team members, customers, and others, many of whom do not have technical backgrounds. More specifically, this engineer is presenting on a highly complex topic where considerable technical jargon is the norm, but a huge portion of the audience has no idea what the jargon means. Can you relate?

In this webinar, attendees will learn a repeatable process to practice and deliver any presentation. In addition, they will learn techniques that will minimize technical jargon while maintaining the integrity of a technical presentation, which is important when presenting technical data to non-technical audiences.

About the Speaker

Neil Thompson is the founder of Teach the Geek, working with engineers on their presentation skills. An engineer himself, he struggled with presenting, specifically in front of non-technical audiences. He got better at it over time and now helps people like himself. He is also host of the Teach the Geek podcast, interviewing engineers on their journeys from reluctant to avid presenters.
