ScopeThe Certified Knowledge Provider program is a joint effort of the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) and its global force of certified trainers. The purpose of this page is to set standards and procedures to certify Knowledge Providers so they may deliver high-quality ASEM-sanctioned training to support ASEM professional certifications and continuing education. ASEM certified knowledge providers are authorized to teach the content for the Engineering Management Professional Certification examinations: the Certified Associate in Engineering Management (CAEM®), the Certified Professional in Engineering Management (CPEM®), Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) and other certifications as may be developed by ASEM. Any training delivered under the auspices of the Certified Knowledge Provider program agreement and using the ASEM logo or name shall be referred to as “ASEM-sanctioned.” Benefits of CertificationCertified Knowledge Providers are authorized to deliver ASEM-certified training courses or programs to organizations or groups of individuals with the following benefits. Note that individuals serving as Certified Knowledge Providers must be an ASEM professional member in good standing.
Requirements for Certified Knowledge ProvidersTo become a Certified Knowledge Provider, an individual or organization must pay a license fee of $250 USD that is required for the initial certification period of 2 years. Subsequent re-certifications, as described in Certification Procedures, require a $250 USD recertification fee. This fee is separate from the required ASEM professional membership dues.
