Personal branding is not just the purview of the social media influencer. As engineering professionals, we have a reputation that impacts how we are perceived and how we get work. When you become an engineering manager, your personal brand becomes even more important. Your personal branding starts from your first day on the job and influences your teams, your colleagues and your clients. This webinar focuses on how to engineer your personal brand from engineering professional to engineering manager.

About the Presenter

Daren Maynard works as the National Training Manager at Solid Support based in Sydney, Australia. He has responsibility for the coordination, curriculum development, and content delivery of the Construction Planning Academy. He delivers project management consultancy services to clients. He works with clients to improve their project delivery and creates solutions around project management offices (PMO) and systems. He leads the industry and university partnerships for the company. He engages with universities on their built environment degree programs and research activities. He is responsible for Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Employee and Organizational Development. Additionally, he functions as an internal project manager on business transformation and new product development projects.

He is an Industrial Engineer specializing in Projects Portfolio Management. He has worked in the construction, digital media, education, and energy sectors in Australia and in the Caribbean. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of the West Indies - St Augustine in Trinidad and Tobago, a Master of Science in Programme and Project Management from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Built Environment from the University of Technology Sydney. He is a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. He has worked in the construction, digital media, education, and energy sectors in Australia and in the Caribbean. In the past 15 years, he has taught at all levels of education from K – 12 to university & continuing professional development levels. This teaching experience has been concurrent with his project management experience. His professional and research interests are in (a) Organizational Systems, (b) Portfolio, Program & Project Management, (c) Learning, Training & Development, and (d) Technology Management.
