Certified Knowledge Provider Program Requirements

To become a Certified Knowledge Provider, an individual or organization must pay a license fee of $250 USD that is required for the initial certification period of 2 years. Subsequent re-certifications, as described in Certification Procedures, require a $250 USD recertification fee. This fee is separate from the required ASEM professional membership dues.

Certified Knowledge Providers must:

1.  Hold an ASEM professional membership.

a.  If the Certified Knowledge Provider is an individual, an individual professional membership.

b.  If the Certified Knowledge Provider is a training company or organization, a Bronze Level or higher ASEM corporate membership. All instructors delivering ASEM-sanctioned training must hold a Professional Membership.

2.  Ensure ASEM-sanctioned training is delivered to students in a professional environment that will reflect positively on ASEM.

3.  Deliver content that is consistent with and supports the information found in the current edition of the “A Guide to the Engineering Management Body of Knowledge.” This is the requirement that authorizes the Certified Knowledge Provider to deliver content defined as “ASEM-sanctioned.

Certified Knowledge Providers represent ASEM while providing ASEM-sanctioned training. Therefore, Certified Knowledge Providers may be subject to periodic audits by ASEM to ensure it is conforming to ASEM guidelines and procedures.
