THE CITY: PHILADELPHIA (https://www.discoverphl.com/visit/basics/)

Philadelphia, the second-largest city on the East Coast and sixth-largest in the United States, is the cradle of liberty, a city of medical firsts and the only World Heritage City in the nation. It’s home to award-winning chefs, was named one of the most walkable cities in the nation and lies less than 2 hours from New York City and Washington, D.C., by Amtrak. Add in world-class shopping, nightlife, culture, dining and outstanding tourist attractions, all within a few blocks, there is nothing missing in this modern metropolis. There are more than 525 daily nonstop flights to PHL. Once you’re here, it’s a 20-minute ride on the SEPTA Airport Line right at the airport or a 20-minute ride in a taxi to cover the 10 miles from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to Center City.

The Sheraton Philadelphia University City is conveniently located on the historic campus of the University of Pennsylvania and adjacent to Drexel University and Amtrak's 30th Street Station. The hotel provides all the comforts of a full-service hotel experience while enjoying the vibrant scene, culinary delights, and thriving atmosphere associated with a University campus. It features 11,000 square feet of newly renovated, state of the art meeting space, a refreshed modern lobby concept and Club lounge with a spectacular view. The hotel offers an on-site complimentary fitness facility and seasonal, outdoor rooftop pool. The restaurant Sang Kee Noodle House features authentic Asian fare and is a regional favorite. Guest rooms feature complimentary wi-fi and all the comforts you expect from Sheraton.

Founded in 1891 during the industrial revolution, Drexel University emphasizes engineering, the sciences, and technology, and the school focuses on preparing students for a rapidly changing technological society. Since its founding, Drexel’s College of Engineering has grown into the largest private engineering college in the nation, with over 3900 undergraduate students. Drexel was the first university to award a graduate degree in Engineering Management (1959), and one of the first universities to allow Engineering Management students to complete their degree entirely online (2001). Drexel’s Engineering Management Program continues to maintain close ties to industry, and the program has been highly regarded in the Philadelphia engineering community for almost 60 years.
